Chadron State Park BioBlitz

A BioBlitz is an event that brings together natural resource experts, community volunteers, and members of the public to inventory as many species (plants, mammals, birds, insects, fungi, etc.) as we can find in a specific area, over a specific time period. If you’re interested in learning more about Chadron’s natural resources while helping contribute valuable scientific data to the park, this is the place to be!
BIOBLITZ INTRODUCTION & WELCOME DINNER
Friday, September 6, 6:00 p.m. (Community Building, Chadron State Park)
Join us for a free pizza dinner as we kick off the event with an introduction to the BioBlitz! Children activities and door prizes will be available!
Sessions continue through Friday evening and Saturday morning. Stay tuned for a complete schedule of events!
This event is free and open to the public! A valid park sticker is required. The Bioblitz is facilitated in partnership with Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, and Chadron State College. Funding for the Bioblitz is provided by Nebraska Environmental Trust and the Nebraska Wildlife Conservation Fund.
