Come join us as we learn all about the songbirds, raptors and waterfowl that call Barr Lake home! We will walk along the prairie, check out our backyard bird feeders, and walk to the dam in order to try and identify the special adaptations that allow the birds to thrive in their ecosystems!

We will go for a walk along the prairie and out to the dam to look for raptors in their natural habitat. Afterwards, Nature's Educators will present some local live raptors!
Join us for a morning of bird banding with Meredith McBurney and our expert volunteers from Bird Conservancy of the Rockies! Mist nets will be set up near the wetlands behind the Front Range Birding Company in Littleton. Each bird will be weighed, measured and documented while you watch.
