Chatfield Bird Banding Station

$6This station is operated in partnership with Denver Audubon.
Program participants will watch research in action and see warblers, sparrows, woodpeckers, thrushes, and other songbirds up close at the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies bird banding research station.
Easy to moderate walking required on flat trails.
Dates/Times: Visitor hours are weekdays 7:30 to 8:30 a.m , and three one-hour time slots on weekends: 7:30-8:30, 8:30-9:30, and 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Location: Audubon Nature Center at Chatfield, 11280 Waterton Rd., Littleton CO 80125.
Cost: Free for local Audubon members and Bird Conservancy of the Rockies members, $6 for all other non-member adults/children.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required. Group size limited to 10 people. A liability form must be completed at time of registration. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Face masks and physical distancing of 6 feet required. A private group may (subject to availability) book a personal visit to the banding station Wednesday to Friday from 7:30 am to 8:30 am by sending inquiries to [email protected].
