Land Conservation Workshop

Bird Conservancy of the Rockies is teaming up with Natural Resources Conservation Service to offer a workshop in Bison, SD focusing on private lands conservation. Land owners will learn about the economics of grazing cover crops, utilizing cool season grasses, and using birds as habitat indicators. Tour the South Platte River riparian habitat in Logan County. Learn about riparian wildlife needs, recommended grazing strategies, and tips for improving sloughs and sandbars for waterfowl and shorebirds. Speakers include biologists from Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Bird Conservancy of the Rockies.
