Wednesday, July 10 • 6:30-8:30 p.m. • FREE!
Ricketson Auditorium (Denver Museum of Nature & Science)
Join us for a screening of The Eagle Huntress, part of the monthly indigenous film series presented by Denver Museum of Nature & Science in partnership with the International Institute for Indigenous Resource Management and the Denver American Indian Commission.
This spellbinding documentary follows Aisholpan, a 13-year-old nomadic Mongolian girl who is fighting to become the first female eagle hunter in twelve generations of her Kazakh family. Through breathtaking aerial cinematography, the film captures her personal journey while also addressing universal themes like female empowerment, the natural world, coming of age and the onset of modernity. A discussion with the audience will follow the film.
No ticket required, admission is FREE! Please use the Evening entrance on the west side of the Museum. Visit www.dmns.org for more details.
