Great Backyard Bird Count

By | | No Comments

Join Bird Conservancy staff and volunteers as we participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC)! Hosted by Barr Lake State Park.

The GBBC was created in 1998 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the Audubon Society. It was the first ever online citizen science project to collect data on wild birds and to display results in near real time.

Participants will be split in groups and lead by a Bird Conservancy staff or volunteer to count as many birds as they can around Barr Lake State Park. The final tallies will be entered into eBird and your fun and hard work will contribute to bird conservation science!
